GA Insurance Ltd has embarked on a 10,000 tree planting journey as it steps up efforts towards carbon neutrality. The company plans to move faster towards carbon neutrality, commencing with the tree planting programme done at Osupuko Primary School in Upper Kajiado. Through the tree planting drive, GA is seeking to play a crucial part in ensuring regeneration and further collaboration with the local community in conserving the natural habitat.
The Group CEO, Mr. Vijay Srivastava noted that the company’s tree planting initiative is in line with the government’s directive to encourage nationwide tree growing as a mitigation measure against the prevailing climate crisis and its devastating effects on life and livelihoods. He explained that planting trees will help in moving faster towards achieving carbon neutrality expressing that, achieving new climate goals, setting new targets for renewable energy, cutting down on carbon emission and speeding the uptake of clean fuel for Kenyan households and industries are some of GA Insurance goals.
