What exactly is Cancer?

Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer is a preventable disease with a high survival rate when detected early. It affects both men and women.

  • Polyps Inflammatory bowel diseases
  • Lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity, smoking, and alcohol.

 

How is it screened?

  • Colonoscopy

Cervical Cancer
Cervical Cancer affects a woman’s cervix and is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). However, it is highly preventable.

  • Frequent Urgent need to urinate.
  • Weak urine flow.
  • Pain or burning and weak flow when urinating. 
  • Loss of bladder or bowel control.
  • Blood in semen or urine.

  • PSA test. (blood test) 
  • Digital rectal exam.
  • Imaging studies.

 

How is it treated?
